This week, the AILG Communications and Engagement Roadshow continued its nationwide programme with a visit to the Plenary Meeting of Louth County Council on Monday.
While AILG maintains a strong and established engagement structure through its 93 Plenary Delegates—three from each of the 31 local authorities—the Roadshow provides an important additional opportunity to connect directly with elected members across the country. It is designed to deepen dialogue with councillors, highlight the evolving AILG supports and services available to members, and strengthen collective advocacy at local, national and EU levels.
Equally important, the Roadshow creates a structured space for open discussion, feedback and the identification of emerging issues facing councillors at local level, ensuring that member experience continues to inform AILG’s representative and policy work.
We extend our sincere thanks to Cathaoirleach Seán Kelly, our AILG delegates, the elected members, Chief Executive David Conway, and council staff for their warm welcome and valuable engagement.
