As previously notified, the Plenary AGM of the Association will take will take place virtually on the 28th October 2020 at 12 noon.
In light of further public health restrictions, AILG received an independent legal opinion in relation to determining if our constitution (or any other recent emergency Covid-19 national legislation) would permit our AGM to be held remotely/on-line.
The legal opinion received confirmed that under Section 30 of the Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020, it is now possible for unincorporated bodies (such as AILG) to hold meetings where some or all of the attendees participate remotely via real-time, two-way audio/visual or audio technology. All that is required is that each of the attendees are able, directly or by means of technology, to speak to each of the others and to be heard by each of the others.
A Meeting link has been sent to all delegates via email.
We kindly ask all delegates to log in to the meeting 10/15 minutes before the start time to ensure that you can log on to the meeting.
