AILG-OPR continues online planning training

The Association of Irish Local Government (AILG) in conjunction with the Office of the Planning Regulator (OPR) will continue the second training module for local authority elected members on Friday, 22nd January from 10am-11:30am.

The webinar entitled “Implementation of the Development Plan and the Development Management Process” will cover two main topics;

      • The first presentation is titled “The Decision-Making Process on Planning Applications in Local Authorities”, and will be delivered by Catherine McConnell, Director of Services in Planning in Mayo County Council.
      • The second presentation is titled “An Bord Pleanála’s Decision-Making on Planning Applications and Appeals”, and will be delivered by Terry Prendergast, a member of the board of An Bord Pleanála.

The presentations will last approximately 30 minutes. There will be a 30 minute Question and Answer session after the delivery of the presentations. Questions may be submitted online throughout the course of the webinar.

AILG and OPR are committed to delivering an intensive programme of planning training at a critical time when elected members are reviewing their Development Plans.
